wedding bells

Well a major bit of news that completely slipped my mind was that I'm engaged! I've actually been engaged since october but thanks to my illness I never got round to posting anything about it at the time :)

I don't have a picture of the ring (yet.. my phone is still missing!) but this one was taken just after Mr S proposed :) We were on holiday in Rhodes and were pretty drunk by this point!

It's all terribly sweet but being the determined lady I am I did pick the ring and a deadline ;) The thing is the main part of being engaged I wanted to enjoy is just that, being engaged! Iwas never one of those girls who dreamed about her wedding when she grew up, infact I've never given it any thought at all! (I just wanted us to call eachother fiance :D )

As the past few months have gone by I still haven't been able to get my head into it, I just feel like we're still both 16 and not grownup enough to get married! But I'm starting to wake up and smell the coffee and decided I'd indulge in my first spot of finding wedding inspiration, so I thought I'd share my findings with you ladies :)

The first thing I was sure of was that I wanted the colours to be my favourite colours, pink and blue :) I thought this picture was so pretty , and I loved the top left table decorations :)

I think the colours look lovely together :D

And I would be able to use my favourite flowers, peonies, hydrangeas, roses and possibly even hyacinths :)

So far this is about as far as I've gotten!
I'd love to hear all about your ideal wedding plans :) I could certainly do with some inspiration!

Oh wow...congratulations! Such happy news:D I've been engaged forever now, we're in no hurry, but I'm not sure if I could inspire you. I have no idea what I would do. If I see something or someone that could inspire you, then I'll send it your way.
I hope you have a beautiful day,
Liz

Congratulations, loving the colours.

I loved organising my wedding, I was on a tight budget so made my own invites and had a stab at making a bouquet but it was a disaster so had one made in the end with purple tulips (my favs)and roses. That was almost 3 years ago.

Good Luck
